I am so excited to share with you why I am running and what qualities I will bring to the office of school board member. I hope to show you that I am unmatched in the experience and dedication needed for this position.

I have been a CPS parent, an LSC member in multiple schools, a teacher for 28 years at a variety of grade levels, and an activist who has worked on school improvement and equity issues at the local level and citywide. As someone who participated in the fight for the elected school board, I heard from a lot of people on what they hope for: a board that will ensure their community has strong, well-rounded, full service schools, a board that will be transparent and accessible.

I have been working on these priorities for 45 years and I hope to take that work to the next level as a board member. With your help, we can ensure every child gets what they need for a successful and meaningful future.
